Rationale

The goal behind 58 Fahrenheit is to create a timeless sustainable brand, one that stands out on the market through differentiation. This is illustrated in the color pallets' heavy use of the deep blue tone of Midnight with the bright copper juxtaposed against it as the primary brand colors. The number "58" is intentionally expressed in a custom cursive font both in numerical & word form while "Fahrenheit" is always expressed in an easy to read upscale, classic-style block serif font. The word "Fahrenheit" is both longer & the more difficult word to read in the business name + logo therefore the intentionality behind only using a serif block font brought with it then necessitates the contrast of the movement of the cursive font for "58". The two font contrasting yet similar types balance each other out while the custom "58" creates visual interest calling the eyes to linger & focus on the name. The choice for clean classic fonts is also a nod to the clean sustainable process that goes into making 58 Fahrenheit wines. Pairing a clean upscale thin-line serif font with a custom calligraphy-esque handwritten type creates the feeling of a representative merging. At 58 Fahrenheit that merging is quality French wine with sexy sustainability.
